Imparting life to the nations, one person at a time

June 2: The Good Old Covenant Way

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me.

–  John 14:6

Read:  Jeremiah 6:16; John 10:1-10

That is a powerful piece of scripture prophesied by Jeremiah, “Thus saith the Lord, stand ye in the ways and see and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein and ye shall find rest for your souls.” Beloved, there are some awesome things about our new life in Christ which the world has never experienced because they are outside of God’s covenant. Unfortunately, many believers are also estranged from some of the benefits of the covenant because even though they are in it, they don’t know how to walk in it and enjoy its benefits. King Solomon described a major tragedy of human existence in his writings. He lamented the situation where servants ride upon horses, and princes not taking advantage of their privileges, walk as slaves on the earth. I declare that that will not be your portion in Jesus name. That is why it is necessary that you and I discover the good old covenant way and walk in it so all the benefits promised us can come into our lives. Every way is not a good way. Some people say many different paths lead to God but Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life.” That means He is the only Way into the covenant; He is the Truth we must live by to access the benefits of the covenant; and without Him, the life of the New covenant can not flow into our lives. Are you in Christ? Are you living daily by His truth (His word) or are you living by popular beliefs and opinions? I see the blessings of the covenant flowing into your life today as you position yourself in the good old covenant way, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

  1. Praise be to God that I am able to search, know and grow in the truth (The Word of God) each day.

May the Lord continues to lead me as I walk in the covenant way that I may also increase in blessings.
