If you are ignorant of the devil’s devices, he’ll get the advantage over you. But the Word of God is so powerful. Every time you receive illumination from the Word, you get the advantage over situations of life. So regardless of whatever may be going on in your life at any point in time, your resolve must be to press into the Word until you get a revelation. Jesus said that because Mary sat at His feet receiving the Word, she had the advantage. Her sister Martha was not necessarily doing something bad, but she was not doing the most important thing either. The devil works extra hard to steal the Word from us because he knows that is our advantage. If he succeeds in stealing the Word from you, he becomes empowered to steal everything else.
