Imparting life to the nations, one person at a time

October 19: Two of Every Kind

“And of every living thing of all flesh [found on land], you shall bring two of every sort into the ark, to keep them alive with you…” – Genesis 6:19 (AMP)

Beloved, do you remember that when God gave Noah instructions about building an Ark before the flood, He told him to take 2 of every “kind” into the ark? Well, right through the generations, I believe there has been a deeper significance to that instruction from God than just the gender of the creatures He wanted preserved. And the scripture is clear that God has given us a free will to choose, thereby determining what “kind” we will be in life. Moses presented Israel with a choice of two different “kinds” of destinies. And I believe God continues to offer mankind the same choices. In Abraham’s days, there were blessed (covenant) people and ‘other nations’; in Joseph’s days, there were dreamers and ‘non-dreamers’ (and hence achievers and non-achievers) Do you have a dream for your future?; in the days of Jabez and the early Church, there were honorable people and ‘ordinary’ people; in the days of Caleb and Joshua, there were ‘believing believers’ and ‘doubting pouters!’; in Daniel’s days (as in our days) there were excellent people and mediocre people. And there is no straddling the fence, by the way. You are either excellent or average and mediocre. So let me ask you today: Which “kind” are you: Excellent or mediocre? I have noticed, unfortunately, that there are more average people on the earth today than there are excellent. Excellent minded people operate by the highest standards in every realm of life, and make great sacrifices to remain that way. Average people, on the other hand, are happy to walk the path of least resistance. And they have a good excuse for their average choices and lifestyle. Usually, there is someone to blame for their ‘not so fortunate’ situations. Beloved, God wants an excellent life for you. So determine from today to pursue excellence in all areas of life. You will excel, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
