Imparting life to the nations, one person at a time

May 7: Uncommon Favor by the Word

“…and the Lord favored him with blessings. And the man became great and gained more and more until he became very wealthy and distinguished”

Genesis 26: 12,13(AMP)

Read: Luke 5:1-11; Genesis 26:1-6; 12-13

Peter had toiled a whole night without catching a single fish. Can you imagine how frustrating that experience must have been? He was no amateur fisherman by any means; Peter almost knew the sea better than the fish that lived there. But he caught nothing until the light of God’s countenance shone upon him. The favor of God will make all the difference between failure and success in life! As soon as Peter received Jesus’ instructions to cast his nets in the sea, favor followed and all the fish in the sea fell in love with Peter’s net. They all came out of their hiding places and began to fight for a place in the favored net! Greatness is on the inside of every human being. But it takes the pressure of God’s Word and His uncommon favor to squeeze it out. Notice that it was God’s favor on Isaac that elicited his wealth and greatness. If you’re encountering frustrations in life, back up and get in God’s Word. Allow the light of the Word to shine Receive His instructions, obey them, and God will give you an amazing turn-around. If it happened with Peter and Isaac, I believe it will happen to you.

  1. I receive the fulfillment of the promises in this prophetic message, having received same a couple of years ago!

  2. I’m into my third week of uncommon favor. With no signs of just common favor ahead. It’s so wonderous, that I pray everyday, that it never goes away. AMEN! Amen? AMEN!
