“..and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies..”
– Genesis 22:17
Read: Isaiah 45:1-3; Psalms 107:9-16; Ephesians 6:10-18; Matthew 16:18-19
The same covenant that attracts God’s anointing and greatness will attract trouble. So if you are scared of trouble, opposition, or attack, leave the covenant alone! It is impossible to be recognized as God’s covenant partner and not immediately become a prime target of satanic forces. We are called to be in continuous conflict. The covenant will not just produce or happen on a bed of roses. Things will go wrong sometimes. Sickness will attack; sometimes you may be broke; all hell may break loose and you may feel like just about everybody is against you. But always remember that your Covenant Partner has never lost a fight. So, He’s got your back for sure! That’s why Jesus said to rejoice in the face of tribulations in the world; because He has overcome the world. Hallelujah! So whatever battle you find yourself in today, don’t gloat. Boast in your Covenant Partner and the victory He has purchased for you. God said to Abraham, “Your seed will possess the gates of their enemies.” Jesus said ‘I’ll build [promote, enlarge, increase, etc] my church [i.e. you and I] and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” This implies resounding and eternal victory in every warfare of life. The “gates” the Lord was referring to in those Scriptures are the evil machinations, counsels, designs, intelligence, troops and powers of the invisible world or hell. All of that put together will never defeat God’s covenant powers. I am sent to prophesy to you that whatever God is building in your life will stand and no power of hell will stop or change the plan. So I challenge you today: don’t just sit there and let hell make you or your family or business a ‘punching bag.’ Go out and possess the gates of your enemies. Go out and take Goliath’s head off so the world can see how to get “a-head!” You are a winner. You are a champion. You are more than a conqueror. You are a possessor of the gates!
