There is a particular style of music from Nigeria called “High life.” It’s one of those music styles that can get you dancing even when you don’t feel like it. The Bible tells us about a way of life called the “good life.” The Bible tells us in Ephesians 2 that we are God’s handiwork recreated in Christ Jesus. And when we discover the paths pre-planned by God for us to walk in life, we get to live the “good life.” Let me ask you today: Are you walking in paths of destiny or are you just existing? The highest quality of life possible on this earth is the “good life.” And it begins with inviting Jesus to be your Lord and Savior; and then beyond that, living by the Word of God, and aligning yourself to His covenant. It is God’s covenant that delivers peace, rest, abundant life, joy, contentment, and prosperity into your life. The “good life” is a result of walking on the “good way” of the covenant. These are not popular or contemporary ways but they are the sure ways that lead to the blessings of the Kingdom. So again today, the Lord is saying to us, “Stand ye in the ways and look, and ask for the old paths; where is the good way? And walk therein, and you will find rest for your soul.” I see you in your place of rest, in Jesus’ Name. I see you laying down all those unnecessary burdens and yokes. I see you delivered out of every struggle. I see you blessed with God’s peace in every area of your life. Why don’t you go ahead and strengthen your covenant walk today. Determine to live by the covenant instructions of God rather than by convenience. Determine to live by the Word rather than by tradition. The good life is your portion, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
