June 21: The Principle of Open Heavens

Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. Malachi 3:10

Read:  Genesis 28: 20-22; Genesis 31:6-13

This principle of ‘Open Heavens’ is one that is often misunderstood. And so you often hear Christians say, “I have always paid my tithes and yet I am still a very poor person.” The average Christian takes that verse literally and somehow subconsciously expect God to pour out money from heaven or expect to win the lottery, etc. However, the concept of ‘open heavens’ deals with the concept of methods and opportunities for wealth increase.  Since God expects that you would be paid for services you render, God is promising to flood you with so many ideas for wealth increase, so much so that you would not be able to use them all. People are willing to pay for the unusual that enrich their lives. King Solomon did not have any trade per se, but people would come from far and near, bearing gifts just to hear the wisdom from his lips. When God-originated ideas start to flow in your life, they would be the ultimate solutions to people’s problems; and they will be willing to pay for it. The tithe is a way to guarantee that this kind of supernatural flow of ideas, strategies and methods of wealth increase floods your mind. Jacob experienced this kind of instruction from God and He became extremely wealthy. Prior to this he was just doing his regular job, which paid him very little; he had no retirement or savings. But God remembered Jacob’s vow; he had vowed to give God one-tenth of all his earnings if God would prosper him. So God gave him a supernatural idea for wealth increase. Child of God, make a confession with me today: ‘I am a tither. Therefore I am filled with supernatural ideas for wealth increase, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

  1. I WANT TO GIVE GOD THE GLORY FOR THE MANY BLESSINGS.THOUGH I AM OUT OF JOB FOR a while now, God is still blessing me. all of my bills over three thousand dollars are paid on time. You too can be blessed in so many ways if you live according to his will. Remember that God is not a man to lie.God’s power or blessings in our lives can be measured according to the size of our faith. Great faith will produce great blessings and the opposite is true.
