Imparting life to the nations, one person at a time

January 12: Move from Illumination to Possession

ARISE [from the depression and prostration in which circumstances have kept you–rise to a new life]! Shine (be radiant with the glory of the Lord), for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you!  – Isaiah 60:1 (AMP)

Read:  John 12:23-36

I want to continue today to share with you some of the very powerful words the Holy Spirit ministered to me about the need to take practical steps to increase the level of my fellowship with God and His Word. He said, “What determines your distinction in life is the quality of your covenant walk with God.” He also said, “Illumination is not enough; you must move on to possession.” Illumination comes from receiving the Word of God through study and meditation. We can also receive helpful revelations from God’s Word through hearing the Word preached. All these are good. However, possession of the promises revealed can only happen through corresponding action in line with illumination received. When you become distinguished through a qualitative covenant walk with God, you will be lifted up, and people and success will be drawn to you. Ask God to help you do that today.
