Imparting life to the nations, one person at a time

February 4: The Spirit of Grace

“Wherefore…let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably…” – Hebrews 12:28

Read:  Galatians 2:21; Zechariah 10:12; Acts 3:19; Acts 4: 31-33

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of grace. He is ‘graceful’ in everything He does, and is a complete ‘gentleman’ He never forces His way on us. And He simply withdraws whenever we grieve Him. A life without the grace, which the Holy Spirit gives, is like an engine without oil. It won’t go very far before it breaks! In Luke 2:40, the Bible says, “[Jesus]….waxed strong in spirit and increased in wisdom because the grace of God was upon Him.” Apostle Paul described his ‘graceless’ zeal and turbulent early life in Galatians 1. He was a failure going somewhere to happen until God’s grace rescued him. Do you have the grace of God in your life today? Grace is ‘holy ease’ that is what takes the struggle out and brings the blessing in. When you are walking in grace, you get a lot done and make great progress, but you are not stressed out in the process. You may even get physically weak sometimes but God’s grace picks you up and makes you strong. The Bible says in James 4:6-10 that God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble and lifts them up. I believe you have arrived at your season of lifting in Jesus name. Amen. When a life lacks God’s grace, however; it becomes a candidate for ‘disgrace.’ That is like the story of Samson. It’s a story you don’t want to tell: Great potential, huge investments, but little returns to show for it.  From this moment onward, your life will never again lack sufficient grace to excel in life. So recognize the Spirit of grace today and make more room for Him in your life. Humble yourself in His sight and cry out to Him for grace in every area of need. When you do, He releases His holy oil on you. You are a candidate for God’s lifting in Jesus Name. Amen
