Imparting life to the nations, one person at a time

Day 5: Set My Face Like a Flint

I Chronicles 12:1-8; Isaiah 50:7-9; Psalms 27:1-14

‘For the Lord God will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed.’Isaiah 50:7

The correct posture of faith can be seen in some of our scriptures today. It is about time that circumstances and Satan’s army begin to fear you as a child of God. Satan has no respect for a believer that does not occupy his rightful place in the spirit realm. Only the people that know their God will be strong enough to do exploits and rule over the spiritual giants on their way. Jesus is referred to as the ‘Lion of the tribe of Judah’, and you are his protégé. So, you cannot be anything less than a lion yourself. Have you ever seen a picture of a crying lion? It simply doesn’t exist! A lion loses his ‘royal’ status if he ever cries in the face of an inferior enemy’s attack. So, stop crying. Set your face like a flint. That is a hard rock! That is a posture that declares ‘I will not be defeated; I will not be stopped!!’ Remember that God is near you and anyone who contends with you contends with God. Do you see why David claimed to be confident and fearless even when war and the host of the enemy’s troops rose up against him? Can you understand why the writer of Psalms 91 said he wouldn’t be afraid of the terror by night or the arrow by day? It’s the fearless posture of faith. Take that posture today and root out every giant set against your destiny. You are a winner!

Prayer and Confession:

For the Lord God will help me. Therefore, I will not be confounded. Therefore, have I set my face like a flint, and I know I will not be ashamed. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen!
