Imparting life to the nations, one person at a time

January 11: Going Up to the Next Level

Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.  From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.  –  Psalms 61:1, 2

Read:  Exodus 33:8-22

I want to share with you, today, some of the practical steps the Holy Spirit ministered to me some time ago when I was seeking him about going up to a higher place with Him. Now, the application of these instructions may differ in your own life, but the principles are the real important points we should learn from. First, He asked me to fix my schedule. I have found out that whatever is not scheduled, never gets done. So prayer and Bible reading MUST be scheduled. Do it early in the day if you can. Then He said, “Take a few more minutes later in the day to pray and read Christian literature.” Finally, He said, “Take some time off once a month and spend an extended period of time waiting on the Lord in fasting, praising, worshipping, praying and studying.” I know that if you do these things, your relationship with God will go up to another level. So why not make some changes today? Comb through your schedule; eliminate stuff that are unnecessary; give more attention to the things of God. You will be richly blessed, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
