Imparting life to the nations, one person at a time

August 17: Open Heavens’ “Manna-fest”

“Thy Words were found, and I did eat them; and Thy Word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of my heart: for I am called by Thy name, Oh Lord God of Hosts.”Jeremiah 15:16

Your approach to the Word of God determines how much it can accomplish in your life. David described the Word as being sweeter than honey and the honeycomb (Psalms 119:103). Little wonder he was successful in fulfilling his God-assigned destiny. But he was not alone. Job considered the Word of God as being more essential to life than his necessary food. Jesus had the same attitude. One of the surest ways to have and continually enjoy Heaven’s manifestation on the earth is to continually participate in the ‘Manna-fest’ of God’s Open heavens by feasting on the Word. In order to stay healthy spiritually, we must have a higher desire for God’s Word than for our daily bread. The reason the enemy takes advantage of most Christians is because he knows most of us have very little spiritual stamina. A “featherweight” boxer will not dare step in the same ring with a “heavyweight” opponent unless he is suicidal. Yet most Christians hope to defeat the devil when he attacks them even though their spirits are starved & sickly. If we are serious about becoming overcomers in life, we must spend quality time at least twice each day feasting on the Bread of Heaven.
