When God created the earth, He instituted laws to sustain the earth. It is wisdom to recognize and adhere to natural as well as spiritual laws. In our text today, there are a few spiritual laws that we need to understand. There were major devastations in those days, as there are today. And Jesus was explaining the law of judgment. He taught that the evil disasters happening in the world today are results of man’s sin. Sin always brings about judgment. In Romans 8, the Bible talks about the Law of sin and death, and the law of the Spirit of life in Christ. As a believer, when you live by the word of God, following the directives of the Spirit, you are shielded from the judgment that others suffer. You have a covenant with God, and the evil that’s coming on the world is not permitted to touch you! Only with your eyes will you see the reward of the wicked. Thank God for His protection today.
