The Holy Spirit within us is the oil of gladness. Jesus described Him as the river of life; a well that is springing with life into eternity. Do you know that if the Holy Spirit is dwelling within you, you should never have a day of depression? King David said in Psalm 16:11 that in God’s presence there is fullness of joy and on His right hand, there are pleasures forevermore! The presence of God is the Holy Spirit within every believer. Notice He says there are pleasures forever more. Unfortunately, most believers don’t have pleasures. They have pressures forever more. If that is your story, I want you to know you can change it. The oil of gladness can set you above your fellows, and your challenges. You can live a ‘pain free’ life because of the oil of gladness. There may be trouble around, but it’ll never get into you. Why not open up to the Holy Spirit today? Let Him lubricate your life and release you from those pressures.
