Imparting life to the nations, one person at a time

October 4: In The Name Of Jesus….!

“That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth…” Philippians 2:10

Read : Philippians 2:5-11; Mark 16:15-20

The Name of Jesus is the most powerful Name in heaven and on earth today because that is the name into which God has invested all the authority and power in the Godhead. Every name that God was known by in the Old Testament is fully expressed in the name of Jesus. That is why the Bible says, “Jesus has been given a Name that is above every other name so that at the Name of Jesus, every knee should bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.” So you see one of the ways to give God glory is to confess continually that Jesus is Lord. Why don’t you do that today: Say with me at least 3 times, ‘Jesus Is Lord!’ You just made God really happy. God has highly exalted the name of Jesus and every thing bows at the mention of that name. So you didn’t just make God happy when you said Jesus is Lord! you also made the devil very mad! But then you also caused everything contrary to God’s plans for your life and future to bow to you. I learned this from Brother Kenneth Copeland several years ago. He said he learnt from these scriptures we are discussing today that when you continually repeat that Jesus is Lord, you subdue situations around you and make them conform to the will of God. Back then when it was so rare for believers to be successful, or for ministers to be prosperous, he kept declaring Jesus Is Lord! Over his city; over his family; over his ministry; over his finances etc. and over the years the Lordship of Jesus has been established in all those areas of his life. So I started to say it too. I say it many times daily: Jesus Is Lord over my life; over my family; over my city; over my ministry; over my church; over my finances etc. and I tell you they are all bowing. Hallelujah! So do the same today: enforce the Lordship of Jesus over everything around you. They are all bowing to you, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
