Imparting life to the nations, one person at a time

November 16: Restoration Is Here!

“Be glad, O people of Zion, rejoice in the LORD your God…I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten– the great locust and the young locust, the other locusts and the locust swarm….” –  Joel  2:23-26 (NIV)

Read: Psalms 65:9-11; Joel 2:23-26

God is a Restorer. He is saying to you today that He will restore everything to you including the times that have been lost to unfavorable seasons and circumstances in your past. Do you believe that? David described God in Psalm 23 as the “Restorer” of our souls. But He specializes in restoring everything. And one revelation we receive clearly from Job’s dealings with God is that whenever God restores something to you, it comes back to you 2 times better than the first time. Several years ago, as I walked through a very challenging and humiliating experience, I heard the voice of the Holy Spirit speaking to me from the scripture in Isaiah 61:7.  He said “Instead of your former shame, you will have a two-fold recompense….you will possess double what you have forfeited…” And do you know that God fulfilled that word in record time?! So when I read David and Job’s testimonies, I say ‘Yes Amen!’ because I have experienced it myself. Hallelujah!! And I prophesy unto you today that God will restore to you double whatever you have lost. He will bring you from the back of the line to the front in record time. You may have started late, but God will ensure that you finish early in Jesus’ Name. Can you say Amen?! The Holy Spirit is the Rain and River of God.  He has promised to visit us with abundant showers. His active presence in our lives assures of restoration of everything we have lost in the past and a guarantee of unending sufficiency and abundance in the future. To access this, we need to be thirsty for Him. He always shows up where He is needed; where there is a thirst or hunger for Him. As you put Him first always, He becomes the dominant influence in your life. Desire and honor Him today. Hallelujah!
