“A son honors his father, and a servant his master. If then I am a father, where is My honor? And if I am a master, where is My fear? says Jehovah of Hosts?” Malachi 1:6(MKJV)

Honor is defined as, “to respect greatly; treat with deference and courtesy.” We often take the love of God for granted. We assume that He understands when we rush past Him in the morning without spending time with Him. He should understand that our bills are so many, so we really cannot pay our tithes and give offerings. Surely He knows that we couldn’t possibly spare the time to serve in His house, we are so busy! What we must understand is that God knows that it is what we consider absolutely important, we commit to. By not committing to any of the above, means that He is not that important to us. So why should He make us priority on His list? It is time to step into the honor mode. Honor is spending quality time in his presence daily; giving sacrificially to His work, using our skills in His house, giving to the needy e.t.c. The almighty will respond with His favor all around us.
