“Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase.”
– Job 8:7
Read: Luke 2:1-7; Psalms 78:70-72
Regardless of where you are today and what your past has been, your best days are just ahead of you. God destined you for greatness when He created you. He allows small beginnings but promises a great end. Remember that even though the Angel announced to Mary that her son would be great, His beginning was in a remote manger. God ordained that on the same night that our Savior would be born in Bethlehem, there would no suitable place for His birth. And then for 30 years of His life, He was a carpenter working under His earthly father. David was the same way. Even though destined to be king in Israel, he was a shepherd-boy for years. So you may be in a small place today, and the situations around you may be everything but great. I want to encourage you to keep looking up. Keep on pressing into the great future prepared for you by God (Philippians 3:14). Your situation is temporary and subject to change. God will cause your light and greatness to spring forth speedily. I see that happening for you today in Jesus name. Amen.
