“And Jacob awaked out of His sleep, and he said, Surely the Lord is in this place and I knew it not.” Genesis 28:16

The best place to find God and the breakthrough that you seek in life is right where you are right now! Hear me child of God. A lot of people suffer from a ‘grass is greener on the other side’ syndrome. We always feel the breakthrough is over there. Oh! If I can just get that job; Oh! If I can just find that right guy or girl; Oh! If I can just find the right church; Oh! If I can just move to the right city; Oh! If I can just win the lottery; bla-bla-bla. The list is endless. Most people move right past their blessings everyday because they are focused on the wrong thing. I love the question God asked prophet Jeremiah: ‘What do you see?’ That’s really the issue with most of us: we are blind and can’t see. And even if our wishes were granted and we found the right job or spouse or whatever, we still would not maximize the opportunity, because our focus is wrong. Ask Jacob and he’ll tell you the same thing. He had no clue that the ‘run-down apartment’ where all he had for a pillow was a stone, was the same place where God had ordained to meet him. His eyes were set on Laban’s mansion but God was right there in that open shelter! Bethel is anywhere God meets you and He wants to meet you right here and right now. Am I saying changes are not sometimes required? Absolutely not! But the change most of us need first is on the inside not outside. The changes on the inside will ultimately birth the needed ones on the outside. If you ask Moses, he’ll say exactly the same thing. God moved him from the pretty palace to the ugly desert and met with him there! Take a cue from these guys. If you will open up to God and change your focus, He’ll meet you right where you are today. So make the required change: Inside. Pay him attention. Listen up. Relax. Take a ‘time-out’ for meditation on the Word. Fast a whole day maybe. Then the Spirit will show up and reveal things to your spirit. That’s how the flight of life commences. I can see you flying high now, in Jesus? name. Amen.
