‘That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith’ Galatians 3:14
Read: Genesis 28:10-22; Ephesians 2:11-14
As a child of God, you have a ‘birthright’ that entitles you to certain benefits that others don’t have access to. Sure, we did nothing to qualify for this ‘birthright’; it was a simple work of God’s grace through the shedding of the Blood of Jesus for us on the cross. But now that God has graciously given us this birthright, it is important that we take advantage of it and lay claim to the entitlements of this right. These kingdom rights include access to God’s presence, healing, divine guidance, protection, etc. When you approach God’s presence, don’t go with your head bowed low, or with feelings of unworthiness or condemnation. Remember, the writer of Hebrews (4:14-16), says we should come fearlessly, confidently and boldly to the throne of grace; so that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help meet every need in our lives. Use your birthright today: as you go into God’s presence, thank Him for the Blood of Jesus; praise Him for your kingdom entitlements.
