Imparting life to the nations, one person at a time

February 7: Born Of the Spirit

“…I tell you the truth; no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again…” – John 3:3

Read:  II Kings 2:19-22; John 3:1-7; Luke 1:34-35; Revelations 3:20

The lifestyle of the Spirit can only be lived and the benefits of that lifestyle enjoyed by kingdom people who allow the Holy Spirit to birth His life first in their hearts and then in everything that they do. Don’t expect the blessings of love, joy, peace, etc until you have first become initiated into the Kingdom of God by being born of the spirit. Galatians 6:8 says, “Whoever sows to the flesh will reap corruption, but whoever sows to the Spirit will reap life everlasting.” So, child of God, make sure everything you do is led of the Spirit and in line with His desires. Can a business or a marriage or a family or a nation be “born again?” Nicodemus asked, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”  Jesus answered, “…except a man is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God.” The process of the re-birth is spiritual. It cannot be understood by the natural senses but so was the conception of our Lord Jesus. Mary asked, “How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? The angel answered and said unto her, the Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.” Therefore every fruitless aspect of your life can be “born-again” when you invite the Holy Spirit into it. As He comes, He deposits the power of the Almighty into that seed/situation and a completely new (holy) thing is born which bears within it the life of God. The life of God produces fruits and results. It cannot be held down. Invite the Holy Spirit today and begin to enjoy the best of everything he has for you in every area of your life in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
