Knowing the will of God in every situation of our lives is the most important step to achieving success. When the will of God is discovered, faith is activated, and confidence is strong. As we have discussed in the past few days, the best way to know God’s will is through training ourselves to follow the Holy Spirit’s leading. We must never lean on externals like Gideon did in the Old Testament. Satan can work in situations that depend on unbelievers, and even unregenerate believers. So take the time to pray and find out God’s will first before making commitments. Then renew your mind consistently through reading and meditating on God’s Word so that you can readily accept whatever God’s will is without being influenced by the world, your flesh, or popular opinion. Once you have found out God’s will, confer no longer with people asking what they think (although it is sometimes safe to get counsel from godly, prayerful people). And finally, do whatever needs to be done to accomplish your task. That’s the path to the good life, which God has planned for you!
