Sometime ago I heard one of my mentors in the ministry, Brother Kenneth Copeland say that even though Jesus lived the first 30 years of His life on earth by faith, He didn?t perform one single miracle. It was a good thing that through those many years, Jesus did not become frustrated with God?s process, or doubt His own God-ordained destiny as a miracle worker and Savior of the world. He simply kept living by faith, enjoying His season of preparation. It may not appear yet what you will become, but relax child of God, keep living by faith, and determine to enjoy every season God takes you through. When the Holy Spirit comes into our lives, He immediately starts to create a new thing. His creative process is usually in two seasons: The season of preparation, and the season of manifestation. The wise man is able to discern which of these seasons he is in at each point in time. The season of preparation is usually a quiet period in our lives with little or no fanfare; a time of anonymity in which we might experience lots of trials and difficult challenges. These are allowed to shape and mold us into useful vessels. It is a practical ?hands-on? school of the Holy Spirit. We learn to identify the Father?s voice. We come to know His ways. We can tell when it is Him and when it is not. During this time, the Lord adds to us wisdom, which comes from obedience to specific instructions. It is a time of perseverance on our part. Slowly but surely, we grow in favor before God and man. Determine to enjoy your days of preparation. Waiting on the Lord renews your strength like the eagles. Thank God for preparation today.
