Imparting life to the nations, one person at a time

December 3: A Sure Future

“For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.”  – Jeremiah 29:11 (AMP)

Read:  Psalms 16:1-11; Proverbs 4:18

Life is full of uncertainties. Someone once said, “The only thing that is constant in life is change.” And we hardly have a control over the uncertainties and changes that life often presents us with. That’s why the world is full of nervous people. They are full of fear and worry. Many people attempt to camouflage these disconcerting emotions by resorting to self-destructive habits such as drinking, smoking, drug use etc. They try to act cool by becoming fools. Many of us have been confronted by questions such as, ‘What does the future hold for me?’ ‘Where am I going?’ ‘How will I end up?’ etc. The Bible says we should not live like people who have no hope. As children of God, there’s a certain future and I’m glad to tell you its good! That is why Apostle Paul said in Romans that all things work together for our good if we’re called according to God’s purpose. In fact God’s plan for your life is that it will get progressively better, not worse. Praise God! We have a sure future.
