Imparting life to the nations, one person at a time

December 21:The Righteousness of God

“And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you….” – Exodus 12:13

Read: Ephesians 2:4-10

When God looks at us, He does not see our errors or failings from the past if we’ve confessed and repented of our sins. He only sees the Blood of Jesus. You are only guilty if you harbor sin, cover it, and continue to indulge in it. The Bible says Jesus paid the ultimate price for us. Do you remember that just before Israel left Egypt to cross the Red sea, the first born sons of the Egyptians were slain? The instruction God gave Moses was, “Put the blood on your door lintels.” Living in some of those homes were liars, thieves, adulterers, fornicators, etc. But once they got under the blood covering, they enjoyed the benefit of the covenant. And that is exactly what the Blood of Jesus does for us. It is our “Pass-over.” Whenever you miss the mark and fall into sin, repent, plead the Blood, and determine once and for all NEVER to go back there. Then, claim every promise of righteousness in the Word of God. You will flourish like the palm tree and grow like cedars of Lebanon in Jesus’ name. Amen.
