Imparting life to the nations, one person at a time

DAY 25: Adam, Where are You?

Genesis 3:1-24

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.”  (Romans 12:1, NKJV)

Sin stopped the first man from living perpetually in the home that God made for him and his family at the beginning. The advent of sin was responsible for the ‘Fall’ of man from the highest and best existence God planned for him, to a life of corruption, poverty, death and disease. Sin is what Satan uses to break our fellowship with God like he did with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. God wants us to honor Him with our worship and talents, but the primary way we honor God is by presenting our bodies as a ‘living sacrifice’ to Him because the Holy Spirit dwells inside us. If we allow sin to fester and settle in our lives, it will not only hinder our fellowship with God, but it will also dull our spirit and cause us to be less responsive to the Holy Spirit’s leading. Therefore, sin unchecked will limit us to the corruption in this world, and we will miss God’s best for our lives. Why don’t you re-commit to living holy for the Lord today? His grace will give you the upper hand over sin and the flesh.

Prayer: Father I receive grace to be holy and pleasing to you.
