Luke 18:1-8; Acts 12:1-12
“So I say to you, Ask and keep on asking, and it shall be given you; seek and keep on seeking, and you shall find; knock and keep on knocking and the door shall be opened to you.” (Luke 11:9, AMPC)
Praying continuously and consistently is what helps believers develop a solid platform for a successful prayer life. One of the reasons many believers, especially in highly westernized cultures like ours, have a hard time with developing consistency in prayer is that often we don’t see the immediate results of what we are praying. However, even though we don’t see the immediate results of prayer, our prayers are stored up in heaven. No prayer is ever wasted. God always hears us and responds to us when we pray. And at the opportune time when something needs to happen in a situation, the Lord will send His angels, and they will affect the goings on in our lives. When Peter was locked up in prison by king Herod, the church gathered together and prayed for him persistently and fervently. Their prayers were working, even though it didn’t seem like it at the time. Finally, the night before Herod planned to execute him, God moved as a result of the prayers of the saints. So, keep on praying and don’t stop. Things are happening behind the scenes that you don’t see yet!
