Genesis 18:1-14
“And Enoch walked [in habitual fellowship] with God; and he was not, for God took him [home with Him].” (Genesis 5:24, AMPC)
Enoch got it right. He prioritized the worship of God in his life and enjoyed days of heaven on earth until God took him to heaven to be with Him. His worship and intimacy made him so pleasing to God that after living a complete life for three hundred and sixty-five years, God said, “Ok, come on up here, Enoch, let’s keep this intimacy thing going without the interruption of death!” We can be so pleasing to God because of our intimacy with Him that He sees to it that we live a completely full life on earth and guarantees us a privileged place around Him in heaven! The most important thing about worship isn’t anything outward, but our hearts. Ensure that you always give God your highest quality worship. As I like to say, “Cook Him a good meal!” because worship is spirit-food, and that’s the substance of highest worth we can offer Him. Remember He owns everything, but when we offer quality worship, we fulfill the essence of our creation and carry out His will on earth as it is in heaven. And because of that, He sees to it that we enjoy days of heaven on earth.
Prayer: Take some time to worship God today.
