The father of faith, Abraham, was just like everyone else in his day until he had an encounter with God that changed his life forever. He worshipped the moon god ‘sin’ just like everyone else because he did not know any better. But when God Almighty called him out, Abram responded and entered into a lifelong covenant with Him. That decision granted him ‘Covenant Status’ and he became a friend of God. Do you know that if you are born again, you are no longer a slave? You have been given covenant status like Abraham. You are a friend of God. You are a member of His Household. You are a special breed. Say that with me today, ‘I am a special breed.’ That implies that your case is different. You are set apart unto God. Whatever plagues people around you can not plague you. You are divinely protected, divinely destined, divinely prospered, and divinely preserved because you are a friend of God. Thank God for the covenant today, and walk in the reality of its promises.
