To know the Names of God is to witness the manifestation of His attributes and apprehend the character which His Names denote. That was why God introduced Himself to the patriarchs of old, announcing His Names to them so they would be partakers of the power of those names. The Psalmist said God’s Name is excellent in all the earth and His glory is set above all the Heavens. The name of a person in the Old Testament times signifies their character. Even when not physically present, when a person’s name was mentioned, everything about their character would immediately come to mind. God’s character is excellent. So, His names are excellent in all the earth. Notice that regardless of where you and I are on this earth, God’s Names are excellent. His Name isn’t excellent in America alone. His name isn’t excellent in Africa alone. His name is excellent in all the earth! So whatever God’s name has accomplished anywhere in the world can be repeated everywhere else. Wherever you are today, God’s name can put you over! His Names are above every other. There is no name like the name of the Most High. As you live your life daily, keep God’s Names in perspective. Jesus has been given a name that is above every other Name. So everything we confront in our lives is subject to God’s Name. Go ahead and stand on the authority of God’s excellent Name today. There is power in that name. There is authority in that name. There is integrity in that name and God will see to it that everything the name represents is delivered into your life today, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
