“…for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me that the Father hath sent me.” – John 5: 36

There is a path of greatness that we see some of the heroes of the Bible walk in, which we can learn from in order to achieve greatness before God like many of them did in their own time. As we study these nuggets over the next few days, let us pray them into our own lives too and begin to consciously apply them: (a) Great people attempt great things for God even when nobody else believes in them. They develop faith and boldness in God’s Word and ability, then they work with an active plan in the pursuit of their vision of greatness; (b) Even though the greatest opposition and distraction to a quest for greatness usually come from very small-minded people, truly great people train themselves to ignore such distractions and detractors. David simply ignored Eliab, and Nehemiah would not fellowship with his detractors or confer with them. In your journey of greatness with God, don’t expect to be supported or celebrated immediately. Most people will stand aloof, and some will even oppose you. I prophesy the strength of the Lord upon you today in Jesus name. Amen.
