“He (God) took him (Abraham) outside and said, “Look up at the heavens and count the stars–if indeed you can count them.? Then he said to him, “So shall your offspring be” – Genesis 15:5 (NIV)

It is very important that you are able to see in your spirit a picture of your future. If you desire the fruit of the womb, you need to be able to see yourself carrying your baby in your arms. If you long for the blessing of marriage, you need to be able to conceive the picture of a God loving, God fearing man standing next to you at the altar, and taking you home to begin your own family. God uses the concept of ?seeing in the spirit? to powerfully initiate the miracle we ask Him for. Really, until you see it, you never receive it. And that is one of the most crucial ministries of the Holy Spirit: Helping us see what God has already finished for us before it is manifested in the natural realm. For several years, God had promised Abraham a son.? Abraham mentally assented to the promise. However, mental assent is not faith, for at the most crucial time, when you need to fight the fight of faith and insist on God?s promises, the physical realities around you will dislodge your mental assent. For real genuine faith to arise in us, we need God to imprint in our hearts/minds a picture of what He has promised. The picture must be so bright, so sharp, that the things we see and feel become insignificant. God is creating a new thing in our lives and we need strong faith to possess it. Two things you can do to create a lasting effect on your ability to see the things of the Spirit are (1) Ask God to anoint your eyes with His ?oil? so that you can be purged of every form of spiritual blindness; (2) Determine to keep eyes that are ?single? and full of light. That means you will not foolishly blur your own vision by setting before yourself corrupting, unedifying images. Your dreams are coming to pass in Jesus Name. Amen.
