Acts 27:1-25
“saying, ‘Men, I perceive that this voyage will end with disaster and much loss, not only of the cargo and ship, but also our lives.’ Nevertheless, the centurion was more persuaded by the helmsman and the owner of the ship than by the things spoken by Paul.” (Acts 27:10-11, NKJV)
Recently at an event our family hosted, our son was assigned to read a portion of the scriptures, and he said he was reading from the Jubilation version. Now, I have read and preached from many versions of the Bible but was not aware of the ‘Jubilation’ version. So, I thought to myself, “I’ve got to step up my game!” Well, there are ways you and I can step up our ‘spirit-game’ and give our spirit a leg-up advantage so we can more readily perceive and understand the things of God: First, put your life in God’s order & let your spirit always lead your mind. Second, meditate more in the word of God and learn to be quiet and commune with your heart. Finally, pray in the spirit a lot and confess the word of God verbatim when you pray. It will amaze you how much stronger you will become in the things of God! I see you going up!!
Prayer: Father, please help me to become more diligent and to elevate in the things of the Spirit. Amen!
