June 17: Principles of Wealth Increase

So God created man in his own image….and God blessed them, and God said unto them: be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it… –  Genesis 1:27-28

Read:  Galatians 6:7; Genesis 8: 22

In the wealth spectrum, we also have (1) those who have sufficient but with very little to spare (2) the rich e.g. those with savings and investments and (3) the extremely wealthy e.g. the billionaires.  Now, no matter what level we might be in the spectrum of wealth, there is always room for increase. That is, you can move from poverty to sufficiency; from riches to extreme wealth.  There are some spiritual laws that seem to guide increase in God’s economy. The 1st is the law of sowing and reaping. You cannot reap a harvest where you have not sowed.  Wherever you may be in this wealth spectrum, you must sow a seed, with the anticipation of reaping a harvest.  Whatever your dream is, you must sow in the direction of your dream. If you see yourself a prosperous professional or athlete or musician, you must sow something in that direction. You may want to start taking night classes or start track training, etc. The important thing to note is that a seed must leave your hand in to the soil of your today so that your future can give you rich dividends in that area. A seed is usually small and may look insignificant and there is a tendency to discount it.  But the bible says, “Do not despise the days of little beginnings.” Your seed is something you possess now, which if you invest, can and will give you increase in the future; e.g. time, money, talents. God gave everyone a seed. So start today to look at where you want to be in say 2 years from now, and ask yourself, “What should I be doing now if I want to be there in 2 years?” Once you recognize this, and you do it, you are guaranteed a harvest according to God’s word.  God promised to give the increase. Praise His name!
