In our study yesterday, we learned that our covenant with God is enriching and all-encompassing. There is nothing that we need, whether it is spiritual, material, emotional, or financial, that hasn’t already been provided for in the covenant. However, like any wise person with great wealth would do, God has pre-determined that only His children would have free, unlimited and unbridled access to this treasure. So, He has established a ‘secret combination code’ to this vault. This code is spelled: F-A-I-T-H! Without faith, it is impossible to please God or enjoy His wealth. That’s why Abraham was so blessed in his generation, because like nobody else before him, he discovered this code and used it. He became the most spiritually, materially, and physically blessed person in his time. And the Bible tells us, in our time we can be just as blessed as Abraham was. In fact, we can be more blessed, because God has ‘upgraded’ the covenant and there is more available to us today than they had back then. But the code remains the same. It is still FAITH. And praise God! Anyone, regardless of skin color, ethnic origin, education, or societal status can learn and use this code. Oh Hallelujah! It’s so exciting to know how blessed we are in Christ.
