Genesis 30:25-43; Proverbs 4:7-12
“But the Lord said to her, ‘My dear Martha, you are worried and upset over all these details! There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.” (Luke 10:41-42, NLT)
Our lives are like the masterpiece God created in the beginning. They are like a big house God is renovating. Your life and my life are like a huge project, a huge house that God is rebuilding. And you know what? Everything God seeks to do in your life and in my life will begin with one new thing. Can I ask you a question? What is the ONE thing in your life that if the Lord took care of, may open up the door to the rest of your glorious future? Maybe you don’t know the answer to that question, but the Holy Spirit does. Wisdom will connect you to the main thing that your life needs. Wisdom was the ‘Light’ in creation. When you have the wisdom of God, the light of God floods your spirit, and you become distinguished. Wisdom is the principal thing. Why don’t you go ahead and ask God for wisdom for every area of your life today?
Prayer: Father, your word instructs us to ask you for wisdom when we need it. I ask you for wisdom for specific areas of my life right now (be specific)
