Imparting life to the nations, one person at a time

September 5: The Meditation of your Heart

“But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.   And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.” Psalms 1:2-3

Read: Psalms 1:1-3; Matthew 9:20-22

The meditations of your heart or the thoughts you allow your heart and mind to be fixed upon, are very important and determine the direction of your life. Actually, what I have just described above is the same thing as using your imagination. It is so powerful that the Psalmist made it a major prayer of his that his words and imagination would be acceptable to God. A popular preacher of the Gospel once drove by the scene of a major accomplishment and exclaimed in his mind “I can’t imagine myself doing that!” And then immediately after heard the voice of the Holy Spirit saying to him “Never mind, you never will” Whatever you believe you can’t achieve, you’ll never achieve. But on the other hand, no matter how unattainable a height is, if you believe you will get there, you will. Apostle Paul said “I can do all things through Christ” And so can you. Believe that today and imagine yourself actually doing all things destined by God for you. Then praise Him for it!
