“When they make [you] low, you will say, [There is] a lifting up; and the humble person He lifts up and saves.” – Job 22:29 (AMP)
Read : Deuteronomy 28:1, 13; Luke 4:18; Job 22:28, 29
I believe the Anointing of the Spirit to excel is coming upon you today as you read the Word of God in this devotion and release your faith to receive all that is written. You will enjoy excellence because you are anointed to excel and because you practice the principles of excellence in your life. God promised in Deuteronomy 28:1 that if we will pay attention to His word and live in obedience, He will set us on high above the nations of the earth. Why not go ahead and claim that promise for yourself today. God is saying as His child, you will not be the low of the earth, but you will be a ‘high-flyer’ I receive that for you today, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Then in vs. 13, He said you will be the head and not the tail. I know many years ago, when I was in school, we thought we were glorifying God by being the bottom of the class. We thought that was how to ‘suffer with Jesus’ and that was something we were passionate about doing. But God disagrees with that point of view. He says Christians should be at the top and not the bottom. If you are at the bottom today, you are not suffering for Christ but for yourself and your ignorance! So change positions and begin to excel from now on. God has made up His mind concerning you. He says in Psalms 76:6-7 that promotion is coming your way. Can you receive that? That is a done deal. And just in case some people don’t know about that reality, and want to keep you at the bottom, you just keep saying like Job, “There is a lifting for me.” Say it everyday. Some people think it is humility to be at the bottom like a worm, but God disagrees. God never compares Himself to a worm, but to the eagle, the highest-flying creature on earth. That’s the vision He wants you to desire for yourself. So, change your perspective today. You are anointed to excel. You are going up, not down. There is a lifting for you today, in Jesus’ Name. Amen!
