“Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles’ wings, and brought you unto myself.” – Exodus 19:4

God wants to bear us on “eagles’ wings” into our land of promise. There are 3 main activities of the eagle with her offspring that typify God’s work in our lives: First, she stirs up her nest and flutters over her brood to excite them to fly. In like manner, God sometimes shakes up our comfort zone, and challenges us to develop our “faith wings,” and “fly.” Most of us easily get comfortable when things are going our way and the blessings are flowing. But God will disturb your nest so you can go up to a higher place. Remember, He is the most high, and He does not want us not flying high with Him. So rejoice at whatever you are experiencing right now. Because when all is said and done, you’ll be cruising in the air, not just coasting along. Then the eagle flutters over her young to comfort them. The Holy Spirit is our comforter and He has been given to us to counsel, strengthen, empower, intercede through, enlighten, and guide us into all truth. If you respond well to the ministry of the Holy Spirit in your life, He will take you higher faster than you can go on your own. Then the eagle spreads abroad her wings in order to teach her young to fly, but also to carry them when they are weary. Praise God! How merciful our Father is!! He wants to do you good. And even though sometimes we don’t fully understand what He is doing, we ought to relax in Him, knowing that His plans for us are good, to bring us to an expected end, and to give us hope in our latter end (Jeremiah 29:11). Like the eagle ministers continually to her young, God is reaching out to you today with His compassion and mercy. He wants to give you speed and great progress in life. He wants to give you ‘sweat-less’ victories. He wants to renew your strength and your youthfulness like the eagles. He wants to guide you and take you to your “promised land.” Thank Him for His goodness today. Give Him praise. He is the only reason you are still here. He is your assurance of a better and prosperous future!
