“And were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things well” – Mark 7:37
Read: Job 22:28, 29; Genesis 24:1-7, 15; Mark 7:37
In yesterday’s devotion, we learned from Job that regardless of what is going on around us, we ought to keep walking by faith and saying the right things about ourselves and our situation. That really is the undoing of most believers. Rather than agree with God and speak His Word continually over our lives, we prefer to agree with circumstances and dwell on things that are subject to change. But that will not be your story any longer: From now on, you will talk about your lifting; your progress; your increase; your healing; your deliverance, etc. That’s the spirit of excellence: to believe you are going forward, not backwards; to press on in life and not become stagnant; to keep giving your energy, determination, and purpose to moving up in life. The other area of excellence we need to focus on today is the expectation that God has done all things well in our lives (see above). Isaiah 28:29 declares that God is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in wisdom and effectual working. We know God does not engage in unfinished projects. So you and I can rest assured that whatever He has begun in our lives will definitely be completed. He blessed Abraham in all things, and will do the same for you and me. Think about the beginning when God created the heavens and the earth. When He finished on the sixth day, He looked at everything and said it was very good. And I know your situation will not be different. He has done all things well for you, in Jesus’ Name. So begin to take count from today: look at every unfinished area and prophesy to them. God is perfecting all that concerns you (Psalms 138:8), in Jesus Name’. Amen. That is excellence!
