Imparting life to the nations, one person at a time

November 13: The Spirit and the Word

“Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever.” –  I Peter 1:23

Read: John 6:63; Ephesians 5:26

Is there some area of your life that needs to be ‘re-born’ today? Many of us need a ‘New beginning’ in life. I am so encouraged by the fact that God specializes in giving ‘New beginnings.’ He said in Isaiah 43:19, “Behold I do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” I prophesy that to you today, child of God, by the Holy Spirit: God will do a new thing in your life! However, you have a part to play in bringing that prophecy to pass. First set yourself in agreement with God’s Word; and second, begin to dig into the word for a specific Word concerning that area of your life that needs a re-birth. Hold on to that Word, believing it and speaking it. Evidently, the rebirth of a person or a long time situation of fruitlessness is due to the combined effect of the active presence of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God. God cannot create or recreate without His Word. His Word describes what must be and His Spirit energizes the process.

We must note that the Holy Spirit is not interested in ‘quick fixes.’ He is neither a ‘talisman’ nor a formula. The whole re-birth process must happen in an environment of the revealed Word of God. It is a steady deliberate process. Therefore, ask the Holy Spirit to give you a revelation of His Word in the areas where you are experiencing fruitlessness. Then He will start to open your eyes to relevant life-giving scriptures. As you start to speak these words, life comes and barrenness is terminated. Today is the termination date for every form of barrenness in your life in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
