Imparting life to the nations, one person at a time

May 9: The ‘Gold-mine’ of the Word

“More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.” – Psalms 19:10

Read: Proverbs 3:1-10, 13-18; Psalms 1:1-3

The Word of God is a rich treasure. Everything we need to prosper and be blessed in life has already been provided for in God’s Word. The Word is God’s prescription for life and prosperity. True prosperity is not possible outside of the Word of God. That’s why in Proverbs 3:1, God instructs us to keep His commandments in our hearts. He said if we do, we will enjoy long life, peace, favor, health, increased wealth, protection, safety, and so many other blessings. In order to enjoy these blessings, we need to (a) know the Word by reading it daily, (b) studying it and hearing it consistently, (c) meditating upon it, and (d) obeying it always by doing everything it says. God makes it very clear: Even though His Word is loaded with treasures that we need for our daily living, we must deliberately find those blessings by becoming intimate with the Word. Ask the Lord to help you do that today.
