“Thus you are nullifying and making void and of no effect the authority of the Word…” – Mark 7:13 (AMP)
Read: Mark 7: 13; Mark 7: 20-23; Hebrews 4:2; Proverbs 4:20-23
Our hearts are the seedbeds where the Word of God works. We know that every Word from God is good. And the Word has a mission to do us good and produce fruit in our lives. However despite the power and precision, which the Word possesses, it is limited by the condition of our hearts. That is why in Proverbs 4, God encourages us to be careful to attend to His Word, and to guard our hearts diligently. The life of God carried in His word can only be transmitted to the areas of our lives through our heart. Just as the borders of a nation need to be properly protected to prevent the entrance of dangerous people and substance, we must guard the borders of our hearts. Then we need to continually invite the Holy Spirit to break up and prepare our hearts for God’s Word. Every time Satan puts ungodly thoughts in your hearts, reject them and immediately invite the Holy Spirit to fill you with His virtue. Then run to the Word of God and watch it perform powerfully in your life. You will not miss God’s best for your life in Jesus’ name.

This morning’s devotional was such a blessing to me.
It reminded me that as powerful as God’s word is, it will not work in my life unless I “mix it with faith.”
The key always to realization of the truth of God’s promises is always to simply believe. No questions asked; just simple belief. Just, “Let it happen to me according to your word, Lord.”
