“And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying Oh Thou wouldest bless me indeed and enlarge my coast, and that Thine hand might be with me…”
– I Chronicles 4:9
Read: Isaiah 54:2-4; I Chronicles 4:9
Even though God created us to be fruitful and greatly increase in every area of our lives (Genesis 1:26-28), Satan is determined to keep us small and insignificant. And he has engineered circumstances and events from our birth, through our growing up years to enforce his evil agenda concerning our lives. But we need to be like Jabez. He realized that the smallness around him was not God’s ordination and he refused to settle with it. He understood that his beginning did not have to define his end. So he cried out to God concerning his life and asked for a change. He asked that God would bless him, enlarge his coast, and not allow the evil contaminant of sin to hold him hostage to his sorrowful beginning. Why don’t you look around you today. Are you satisfied with your life? Are you on the path to your God-ordained greatness? Are there hindrances and limits around you? You can cry out to God like Jabez did. Then demand that Satan’s limiting yoke be destroyed in Jesus’ name.
