“Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision.” Acts 26:19 KJV
Read : Isaiah 50:4-5; Luke 9:23-25
The mention of the word vision makes the heads of many swim; it seems like this huge, unachievable feat. Yet, the secret in accomplishing life’s vision is to achieve a little of that vision every day. When you think about it, your whole life is a collection of moments, a collection of days. When broken down that way, vision becomes quite livable and achievable. Though God’s vision for your life is huge, it is broken down by God Himself into little phases and moments. Daily prayer helps you to not only download a little phase each day, but also keeps you focused. To achieve God’s will for your life, you must: (1) believe that it can be achieved; (2) make it your life’s overriding ambition; (3) be prepared to undergo training and mentoring -whether spiritual or secular- for its different phases; and (4) be prepared to doggedly keep moving forward, no matter the obstacles and distractions along life’s course, until you get to the finish line. The key to actualizing your God-given vision is obedience. You have got to step out and start to do a little every day in the direction of that vision. Remember that the reward God gives you at the end of your course is based on what you do, not just what you know. So begin taking small steps of obedience in fulfilling your God-given vision. You will make it in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
