Imparting life to the nations, one person at a time

Day 30: The Word of God’s Wisdom

John 1:1-14; Hebrews 4:1-12; Deuteronomy 8:1-8; Job 22:22-30.

“Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD of hosts.” –Jeremiah 15:16

The Word of God is very powerful, and it contains the wisdom of God. There is nothing in the Word that is not guaranteed if we will believe and act on it in simple child-like faith. The wisdom we need to move forward in life and overcome every adverse situation the enemy throws our way is in the Word of God. Unfortunately for many, relying on God’s Word is very challenging. Many of us have greater confidence in what people say than in what God’s Word declares. And that is sad, because the Bible says it is a curse to put our trust in man. So, to teach us to trust His Word, God allows us to suffer disappointments and other trying situations at the hands of people. The children of Israel were allowed to sojourn in the wilderness for 40 years so they would be humbled and learn to live only by God’s ‘Rhema’ or Words proceeding from His mouth. Like most of us, they were very excited by ‘manna,’ or bread, which they gathered daily. But manna and every other material benefit will fade. Only the Word of God will last forever. Let me ask you today: Do you trust God? Have you placed your total dependence on His Word or are you looking to some human somewhere to fulfill your dreams? There is a confidence that will pervade your life that all of hell cannot stand, when you sell out completely to God and trust in His Word. Job said (Job 23:12, 14), “…I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.” And because he did, he was convinced that God would perform everything He had promised and planned for him. It is wisdom to receive and believe the Word of God; it is wisdom to act on the Word of God; it is wisdom to stake your life on the Word of God. If you do, the Lord will perform everything He promised and planned for you. The wisdom of God guarantees you will have a glorious future and arrive at your ordained destination. Do you receive that? Then give God praise today for His Word of wisdom!

Prayer: I give you praise Father for the Word of your wisdom. I give you praise for the instructions of wisdom you have made available to me. Thank you for making me wise and strong. Thank you for giving me a heart that yearns after you and that gladly pursues your purpose and fulfills your will. Thank you for everything you are doing in my life in this season. Thank you for the great future ahead of me. Receive all the glory and praise Father. In Jesus’ mighty Name. Amen!
