Imparting life to the nations, one person at a time

Day 3: The Good Way

Psalms 23:1-8; Ephesians 2:4-10 (Amp); Joel 3:14.

“Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.” – Jeremiah 6:16

Several years ago, the Lord said to me, ‘There is your way, then there is the world’s way, and then there is the good way. And the good way is the way of godly wisdom.’ I had been asking Him some life questions regarding why some things I didn’t understand were happening to some believers and ministers I had been observing. In my limited understanding, I felt that certain outcomes were guaranteed for every child and servant of God, regardless of what they believed or practiced. The situations I observed in these believers’ lives seemed like mysteries to me and I was puzzled by it and desperate for answers. Notice in our theme scripture today that the Lord said that we should ask for the old paths, the good way. And if we do and walk in those good ways, we will find rest for our souls. The ‘good’ way oftentimes differs from our way and the world’s way. But the way of wisdom is the good way and when we walk in that way, then we will have the good and guaranteed outcomes of rest and prosperity that the Word of God promises. Nothing just happens in life, and our decisions determine our destiny and our outcomes, no matter how much people want to evade that truth. Commit to walking in the good way today. And you will find rest for your soul.

Prayer: Lord, I choose your good way today. I choose the way of godly wisdom. I choose life and blessing. Thank you for granting me the wisdom to walk in those choices today. In Jesus’ mighty Name. Amen!
