Isaiah 11:1-4; Luke 4:18-24, 30-35 (AMPC) Ephesians 1:15-23.
“And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.” – Isaiah 11:2
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of wisdom and wherever He resides, there wisdom resides. Notice from our theme scripture today that with the Spirit of wisdom also comes understanding, counsel, might, and the fear of the Lord. When the Spirit of wisdom is resident in us, we have access to ‘revelation-knowledge’, and every other grace that the Holy Spirit bears. After Jesus was baptized in the Anointing of the Holy Spirit, the people who saw and heard Him could tell there was something different about Him. They were amazed at His teaching because His Word was authority, and ability, and weight, and power. When the Spirit of wisdom settles on your life, you will not remain the same. Some virtues and graces of the Holy Spirit will rub off on you, and the world around you will know that there is something different about you. It is impossible for any child of God to have the Holy Spirit and to prioritize wisdom in their life and yet possess the fruit of foolishness. That is impossible. You cannot have the Holy Spirit fully operational in your life and prioritize the wisdom of God in your life but be producing fruits of foolishness. That is impossible. Somebody once said, ‘God is the all-wise God, and an all-wise Father cannot produce stupid children!” Of course, I concur! If you are born again and filled with the Holy Spirit, then all the wisdom of God is available to you today through the Holy Spirit. Declare that you are full of the wisdom of God today, in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!
Prayer: Thank you, Father, for baptizing me with the Spirit of wisdom today. I declare that I am full of the wisdom of God today and every day. In Jesus’ mighty Name. Amen!
