Imparting life to the nations, one person at a time

December 23: The Cedar of Lebanon

“The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.” – Psalms 92: 12

Read: Genesis 49:22-26; Ephesians 1:3-12

The Bible promises that the righteous will flourish like the palm tree and grow like a cedar of Lebanon. That’s where the best, tallest, largest, and strongest cedars grow. There’s just an indescribable glory that surrounds every believer walking in covenant relationship with God. Rest assured, child of God, that the good life promised us is no fairy tale. It is our God-given, God-ordained future. There were three categories of blessings pronounced upon Joseph by his father. Those same categories of blessings are promised us as righteous people who will flourish like the palm tree and grow like a cedar in Lebanon: blessings of heaven above   are blessings of spiritual well-being; blessings of “the deep that lieth under” are material blessings of wealth, prosperity, and finances; and blessings of “the breast and of the womb” are natural blessings of sound health, long life, mental intelligence, skilful wisdom and creativity, etc. Now claim all these blessings for your own self today. It’s all yours in Jesus’ name. Amen.
