Imparting life to the nations, one person at a time

October 6: Blessed Is He Who Comes….

“And they that went before, and they that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna; Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.” –  Mark 11:9

Read: Psalms 118:26; John 12:12-19

Yesterday, we saw the blessings that accompany people who have an experiential knowledge of God. Today, the Lord wants us to take that lesson further and see the blessings that accompany people who not only have a revelation knowledge of God’s names but who ‘come’ or conduct their daily lives by the power invested in that name. The psalmist said in Psalms 118, “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.” And that scripture was practically fulfilled when several hundred years later Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey. To be blessed means to be empowered to prosper or succeed in your God-given assignment. That was what happened to Jesus. In spite of the fact that the religious leaders didn’t like or celebrate him, they couldn’t stop His triumphant entry into Jerusalem; they couldn’t stop the fulfillment of Jesus’ destiny. Child of God, do you know that regardless of who likes or dislikes you, nobody can stop the ‘Blessing’ of God upon your life from producing prosperity and success? Look at David. He said to that big for nothing giant (that’s what ‘Goliath’ means by the way!), “You come to me with swords and spears, but I come to you in the Name of the Lord of Hosts…” And that was it! Once you come in the Name of the Lord, you invoke the ‘Blessing’ and you can not be stopped! I prophesy upon you today: You will not be stopped! And all who attempt to stop you will encounter the power in the Name. Do you remember what Jesus said to Saul on the way to Damascus? Simply put, “It is impossible for you to stop Me; you will get hurt if you try!” (Acts 9:3-6) When you come in the Name of the Lord, that is the Lord Himself coming, and He can’t be stopped! Your destiny will never be stopped or hindered. You will arrive at your God-ordained destination, in Jesus’ Name.
